MagicSoft Streamer is an application for live IP streaming designed for distribution and contribution that fulfills the demands of IP broadcasting.
The supported compression are MPEG2 and H264 and the IP output can be UDP, RTP or RTMP (for Web distribution by using Wowza, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitch etc).
We are also providing a receiver software that can decode and output UDP/RTP streams to a Decklink or Intensity card.
H264 UDP/RTP streams are compatible with DVB IP infrastucture of multiplexers and decoders.
The conformance of the H264 UDP stream was tested with
hardware measurement equipment as
Tektronix MTM 400 and Tandberg 7010
and software programs like Manzanita TSA, Elecard StreamEye and
ProMax TS Analyzer.
H264 UDP / RTP streams was tested and works 24/7 for devices like:
- Tandberg TT1260
- Tandberg RX1290
- Ericsson RX8200
- Amino A140
We are also providing a receiver software that can decode and output to a Decklink or Intensity card.
MagicSoft Streamer supports up to 4 video inputs using Decklink, Intensity, AJA or Corvid cards and devices.
The input can be set either analog or digital depending on the capabilities of the card ( so it can be SDI / HDMI / YUV or composite ).
Some of the RTMP servers that works for 24/7 streaming are :
YouTube, Twitch, Wowza, Vimeo, DaCast, and FaceBook
There is a "Professional" module that adds some features :
- stream recording that saves the stream as .ts file simultaneous with sending it to the designated IP
- YUV level legalizer (in order to ensure that the video level is kept into the appropriaterange)
- possibility to set the sampling rate as 4:2:2
- possibility to work with a BlackMagic VideoHub device over the network for choosing the input
The software contains a watch-dog application that ensures the functionality of the MagicSoft Streamer and sends the status and alerts by SMTP email.
MagicSoft Streamer works for SD and HD setups and it can process up to 16 audio channels (16 bit 48KHz) depending on capabilities of the used frame-buffer.
